Since monochromatic is, in essence, the using of one colour and white and black are really no - colours but shades and tints. This abstract floral is to me considered monochromatic in hue. The one colour is the tiniest splash of blue. Gestural strokes and spontaneously and intuitively created. Black and white also known as greyscale. To me personally, it is a dramatic yet peaceful effect. It becomes special with shades and gradients, composition and line. This abstract floral is close to being all greys or grisaille.
