The Ridge, 18"x 72"

"The Ridge" Watson has a deep love of nature and painting so recently she was able to do both at the same time. She travelled to Coffin Ridge Boutique Winery where she imagined and created this painting on the lawns and ridge of the gorgeous area. The scenery in the Fall especially is filled with golds, reds and yellows of all the leaves changing colour so with her love of Mitchell gestural abstracts she began this painting. 
The large landscape abstract was completed later at her studio where she added the genuine gold leaf bringing the tips and the tree tops shining in the sunshine to the original. Colourful and filled with passion and warm hues this is truly an amazing one of a kind piece bringing the colours of nature inside.
