Endless Summer — painted with the memory of violet petals and autumn light as I prepare the studio for winter creating.
 
ENDLESS SUMMER
Soft violet petals,
deep as twilight.
They linger,
then drift down—
tiny butterflies
resting for the season.
 
They are not the tallest,
but they hold grace,
their hues a whisper
of summer’s final breath.
 
In the garden,
they fall like quiet thoughts,
layering colour upon memory,
dreaming of spring beneath the soil.
 
In my studio,
the doors close,
the heater hums,
and fall becomes paint—
its glory alive
in every brushstroke.
 
A love of my gardens and my hydrangeas.
