    "Three Vases"
 Acrylic, 24"x 24" canvas
$1,200.00

Gestural, impressionistic swirls of colour. Turquoise, blue, pink, white green and several other tints and shades. A medley of colours falling over three vases imagined by this abstract artist.
You can feel the love of Monet with her florals along with her obvious love of colour. White lines in pen can be found along with dots and markings where she has used a silver marker.
"My garden is my most beautiful masterpiece"
Claude Monet

Magnolia

I miss the butterflies
My neighbours English Garden
Cloud-like wings
Floating softly and holding on for dear life
A gentle breeze gains strength
Sending Magnolia petals
Like butterlifes
To their resting realm

    "Peonies"

Acrylic, 24"x 24" canvas
$1,200.00

Impressionistic soft flowing petals with deep green and grey leaves. Pops of green gold along with paint splatter and a cool white background. The palm of her hand and fingertips were used many times in this original to create her imagination. Her poem follows

"Peonies"

I see them now

Late April with their deep green pointed hats
They inch their way
Like an earthworm on tippy toes

That is if they have tippy toes

There seems to be a group
All standing like soldiers shoulder to shoulder

All with variations of the same pointy hat

They don't look like much now
They know how gorgeous they will be
They aren't in a hurry

They take their time
Even though
They can't wait to show off

I can't wait for them to show off
    "Silver Lace"

Acrylic, 24"x 24" on canvas
$1,200.00

Soft white petals, tints of blue, impressionistic floral.

Her poem

Silver Lace

Thrown together by nature
Dancing in English Gardens

Random, perhaps

Stretching along the wire
Patterns of lace amongst the blue

Chantilly
Embroidered
Venetian
Petals

So delicate
So lace like

Falling over one another to be seen
Reaching, wandering

As if needlepoint lace in a floral design
Random lace created by nature

Tints of blue
    What is beauty?
Beauty is an eagle, lithe in his flight, gliding, soaring, with its proud head uplifted.
His massive velvet black body, a silhouette against the pastel blue sky.
His graceful, wide-spread wings, moving in rhythmic flight, across the horizon, until lost in the solitudes.
Beauty is rugged snow-capped mountains, standing stately, brushing their peaks across the crimson sky.
Covered with a green blanket of firs and cedars, the mountains stood like statues against the erupting sun of orange and red.
Beauty is trees bending to and fro as the wind whistles and sings through their branches. Autumn leaves of red and gold flutter to the ground like butterflires newly hatched from cocoons.
Beauty is a mountain stream, making its way towards a lake, skimming and sliding, over small shiny pebbles in a miniature rapid.
The sun's glaring rays form diamonds in the trickling water.
Is beauty trails of grey and black concrete winding and wandering through cities, countries and mountains?
Is beauty carpets of cement, dotted with gas-driven vehicles of all shapes and sizes?
Never ceasing, they travel with no seeming destiny.
Is beauty cargo-laden tankers chugging clumsily through channels of scummy, mud-churned water?
Is beauty overpopulated rivers roaring with sound of power-driven boats, ploughing through the oily water pushing the dirty slime against the shore of beige coloured sand?
Is beauty mechanical silver winged birds soaring higher and higher leaving only a trail of white softness behind?
These steel birds look like a steak of lightening as they glide forward each to their own destiny.
Is beauty electrically-controlled iron and steel monsters clanking and screeching on tracks of black and grey?
Is beauty the grinding sound of steel on steel as the massive machine sputters across the continent going everywhere but leading nowhere?
What is beauty?

    Lilac Breeze

A lake breeze

I slowly walk by
That wonderful scent of May

They huddle together
Petals

In soft hues
Lovely Lilac
Lovely Lilac Breeze

I hesitate to leave

High and out of reach

A scent falls over me like dew
A scent falls over me like rain
A scent falls over me like mist

That delicious scent free falling without a care

Surrounding me
Holding me

Embracing me
Encircling me
Enveloping me

I stand still

My mood is light
pale hues
perfume

I slowly walk by

I hesitate to leave
I hesitate to leave

I hesitate to leave

Sometimes it is with shape, colours and lines......
